Primary focus is on Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. We offer other wines as well, including a white and red blend, under the label “Recess”. Where do you make your wine? The wine is made right here at our tasting room! Come on by and ask for a tour of our barrel room, where all the magic happens. Where do the grapes come from? The grapes we use primarily come from vineyards that are managed by Bruce’s vineyard management company, AREA Inc. All located within the Willamette Valley. What should I expect during my visit during the era of COVID?
Please note, that at this time we can only offer outdoor seating. Are masks required? Masks are required upon arrival. You may take your mask off for wine tastings, or if you are seated at your table. When are you open? Our hours currently are Wednesday-Saturday, 12-6 pm. Are reservations needed to do a wine tasting or reserve a table? No reservations are needed for a wine-tasting and we are unable to accept reservations for tables. Are kids/minors allowed? Yes. Are dogs allowed? Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome in our outdoor seating area. Do you sell gift certificates? Yes. Gift certificates are available for purchase inside our tasting room. Can I take my bottle home with me if I don’t finish it? Yes, absolutely! wine clubDo you have a wine club?

Bruce Biehl started Eugene Wine Cellars in 1998, and in 1999 the ‘Urban Winery’ was established in the Whitaker neighborhood. The first vintages were bottled and labels at the winery in the fall of 2001. What does the b2 label represent? The B2 wine label originated in 2004 and represent the initials of the three siblings Bruce, Brad, and Beverly Biehl. Read more about us on our History page. What does the ‘recess’ label represent? The recess label was created to acknowledge the many years the Biehl family spent in the classrooms as teachers, and the awesome work of teachers around the world. |
